In theory, a higher percentage of games will be close or tied after 5 compared to complete games, which is why you’ll typically see the run line set at 0.5 on the first 5 innings vs. 1.5 on the complete game.

If a tie game is suspended after 9, over/under bets will be determined at the point the game is stopped. First 5 Innings – A full 5 must be completed for this bet to count. Any game suspended before 5 innings are complete will be considered an invalid bet and your money will be refunded.
Bets are also refunded if the home team manages to tie in the inning that officials suspend the game. A suspended game is declared as no action if it was stopped but continued the following day. Bets on the first half of the game are counted even if the game only finishes five full innings.
Please note that OBR 7.01(c) shall still apply, such that if a game is called, it is a regulation game (1) if five innings have been completed; (2) if the home team has scored more runs in four or four and a fraction half-innings than the visiting team has scored in five completed half-innings; or (3) if the home team scores one or more runs in its half of the fifth inning to tie the score.
Unlike a regular game bet, bets on the first five innings moneyline can tie, or "push." If that occurs, your bet is refunded. The odds for these bets are similar to the odds on the full game.
